^this exactly, which boots did the bootfitter recomend. He should have advised you to try no more then 3 differnt boots. He definatly should not just let you try anything on. If thats the case find an actually bootfitter, as who you have seen so far certainly is not a boot fitter.
Also to add, boots should not be too comfy when tryinmg them on in the shop. The comfort comes from footbeds, shell work, liner molding and bedding the boots in. If they are comfy without any of tht, chances are they are too big. Boots should be very snug in the shop and also feel like a size to small.
