cydwhitBump. Trying to find a place to car camp either near Snowbasin, or Altabird next weekend. Any leads?
we were just there a couple nights ago and somehow managed to to sneak in a night with our massive truck back camper. we got kicked out pretty quickly on the second night but the rule is that they have designated spots for overnight parking, just no camping. if you're really careful then i'm sure you could snag one of the overnight spots, and if the marshal says anything to you tell them you're staying in one of the lodges and he might let you go. here's a map of where you're allowed to park overnight. we stayed beside the library and above the snowpine lodge.

a good alternative that we found is a small church just outside of the canyon on the corner of S 3500 & Bengal Blvd. very little goes on there during the week and we even had a police car loop the parking lot while were there and he didn't seem to care.
