If you don't mind me asking, what was your progression like?
My story was I skiied once a year from 12-18, then I went to college and drank and did a lot of drugs and neglected skiing.
Then I graduated college and realized the "Real World" fucking sucked huge balls and I wanted to experience park skiing before I got too old to progress.
So 2011/2012 was my first year, I got 4 days in the park, learned skiing switch, straight airs, 180s and some basic box grinds.
2012/2013 is my 2nd year, I've got 6 days now and hope to end the season with 12-16. I learned backflips and 360s so far. Tomorrow I am hitting an Air Bag to hopefully learn fronts, mistys, switch backs and back 180s -- my goal is to go to Windells this year and the next 3-5 years to progress until I am 30ish years old and then just coast.
To be honest, I live in the Poconos around Philly so there aren't many good skiiers here but I find myself pushing myself harder than anyone else in the park. I just want to get better. I just wish I had friends that skiied or could met people that could help me progress faster.
Don't get me wrong, I love just putting on my headphones and skiing solo but sometimes I think I could learn more with a mentor or something.
