In light of freeze's demise there have been a lot of people complaining about transworlds conglomorate attitude in buying, then totally destroying freeze. While your complaints are certaintly justified we should all look at the bigger picture.
true dedicated newschoolers are probabaly about 20-25 thousand strong in america. There are over 300 million people in america. Do you realize what a small percentage we are in this country? Look at what we still have though. we have a growing pool of professionals, our own professionally made movies, several independent ski companies, and resorts sponsoring kids when ten years ago skiers werent even allowed into the parks at most resorts, and thats if a park even exsisted. Most importantly though we still have skiing, its still here and it isnt going anywhere. I for one will still go out this season and put my balls on the line for the sake of progressing the sport for me and everybody else. we are a small tight knit community and shouldnt expect so much all the time. we should just go out and ski

first off its a tight knit community of rougly 50,000+.
second just because we are small compared to the millions of people in the world doesnt mean we cant be upset. millions of dollars are put into this sport each year, and we have every right to be upset.. we lost something we had. it sucks

freeze leaving the media market is truly a bad thing...look who we have to voice the pictures, video reviews, etc (POWDER, SKIING, ETC.) this is like having TGR be the voice for jibbing or the KKK representing the black community; the media voices for us are inaccurate people.

no lipen he is wrong becuz not every freeskier has an acount on Ns i have 6 friends who ski with me and not one of them is on Ns some ppl just dont. So to say that only ppl on Ns were subcribers to freeze is a mistake.
Dont get me wrong the loss of freeze has not changed my outlook on skiing it just strengths what i already knew about corprate america. THAT THEY ARE MONEY HUNGARY FUCKS>

^ no freeze WAS the best magazine...when there werent anyothers covering our sport...Remember the first issue with seth rippin sluff on the cover or the second issue, the 'non-buyers' guide? It taught me how to make tomato soup out of ketchup, cream and salt and pepper. back then it was the shit, but unfortunatly it never progressed and still targeted the 13-15 yr old skier. Its like YM magazine. WTF was ASK Brad other than filler for the magazine...that shit was stupid and was usually used for fire starter.
Im not sorry freeze is gone, but more sorry that it didnt progress into a respectable publication.
I would seriously ask all of you to get a subscription to SKIER magazine in canada. It is by far the BEST publication on the market right now for content, quality photos and general layout. Hands down.
