Midfats (Blends,Sfb, jefferey etc)

I have job this summer so i will have some extra cash (Not too much mostly saving it) but i was wondering which midfat would be good for me. Info

aggressive all mountain jibber
bout 60 40 park to all mount
east coast besides west maybe once a year
love butters and soft flex
already have a park and all mountain ski, but i would really like something i can use when i dont know how the conditions r gonna b and whether il lap the park or just stick to the groomers

Dang you're skinny kid. So you're lookin for a soft snow and crud ski?
blend is in your icon lol. Jeffrey is stiffer than the blend and bacon. Im not sure which of the line skis are softer though. Since you already have a park and all mtn ski, I would go fatter. Blend is an average waist at 100mm. Bacons are midfat at 118 underfoot. Just some info for you to think about.

sounds as though the bacon would be grand for what you're after. they're actually 108 under foot which makes them truly versatile for any day that you're not sure what you'll be riding. The extra width over the blend will give you some extra terrain capabilities.

I agree on nomad, but the nomad sft to be specific. Turns well, is a mid fat, all around fun ski. I'm 120lbs so you might consider the stiffer ones, but I find the sft very fun and jibby, and I'm confident going fast and linking tight turns on them. I rode the stiffs nd rkrs a few times, tons of pop for me, but I preferred the sfts.

Filthy riches, and a pair of back mounted kung fujas, basically just want a more park oriented version of the fujas cuz i i use em in the park they r not superb

Cuz i dont always know when im gonna be skiing park and for those times a do it all ski would be great.

I'd suggest the SFB, they are a little wider, fairly soft flex, and will be a perfect all mountain jib ski, I've never heard a bad review on them, and EP rides them. What else do you need to know?

I love my bacons. they are the perfect everyday ski if you're cool with softer skis.

Blend or bacon. Honestly they are the only two midfats that are is soft as they are. If you vodfind a set of Elizabeth's I would say go with those

one lifes, I had last years bacons and the one lifes are much more fun, better in the park, and definitely better in powder.

i guess its down to the blends and the sfbs. Can anyone tel me any major differences besides the blends being a little more park oriented?

I have jeffreys and i love em, but id reccomend blends or Jmos. Lets be honest, your not getting to many deep days out east. The jmos/blends will e easier than the sfb/jeffreys in the park, and a little more nimble on groomers.

blends are definitely softer. I've skied them a bit and they were ok, SFB imo is a way better ski overall.

Understandable, surface skis have had questionable durability in the past, but i think its more specific skis rather than their whole line, mine have held up great to 15 park days, some urban, and probably 10-15 powder/everything else days. No edge cracks even. Coming from bacons i can honestly say the one lifes are better in every type of riding, they may be stiffer, but they feel more buttery, they pop better, charge way better, press like a mofo on rails, and ski crazy good in powder. Id at least look around for reviews and see if there have been any durability issues. Cause mine have been great.

But the rocker is sooo cray that they would suck on east cost ice, as opposed to a more traditional ski. They look like a blast but i would rather spend money on a popular ski that is well like by many. I would probably have to demo them to change my mind, there just simply not enough info

dude seriously consider the new 4FRNT Devastator (may be different name)  But its the new Turbo.  Thing kills it as a one ski work horse.  I just started taking mine in the park and its a hoot!  But be sure to mount it forward if you wanna jib.
