like above, but I do 1 hour on, then 1 hour of what I would rather be doing (usually cod). And repeat.

Don't just sit there looking at your notes. Do something active while you study. Re read chapters and make new notes, make practice questions and answer them. Things stick in your head better.

This too. Reading doesn't help me, so I re-write all my notes. Try to limit your new notes to only the relevant points. If you have time make a other set based off the second set, Then finally the day of/ night before just read over those elite notes.
It's probably different depending on the subject, all of my exams will be just short answer / long answer / essay questions. I'm glad because specifics are not my thing, I suck at fill in the blanks
