A wise man known as Onenerdykid once told me: Only the boots that fit YOU. Don't listen to what other people say works for them because they don't have your feet. If someone hates X boot, it might be the perfect thing for you and vice versa. Trust your local fitter, trust your feet, and make sure to get footbeds. Given the physics of skiing and the nature of feet, you will most likely be happiest with a good footbed that will keep your foot from moving inside the boot.
Once you have found a boot that works for you, then it makes sense to ask NS if anyone has had any durability problems or other issues with the boot. But, in the end, always buy what works for you and not someone else.
