I go hard (binding q)

I go hard in the park and outside, and i need a binding that will do this with me. Ive broken 2 bindings in the past few weeks( look px12, marker m1100) and im looking for something that is durable as hell, along with being relatively cheap. Suggestions?

Im 200 lbs by the way

You're 200lbs and ski hard, just buy some fks. They are not cheap but worth it, sth 16 could be goid too and cheaper

Considering your weight (200lbs) and assuming that you're a level three skier, you're skiing on quite low din bindings. I think depending on what DIN you ride with a 14DIN or 16DIN would be better suited. In order to help you find a better suited binding, it would help if you could tell us what DIN you ride on.

You also requested a cheap durable binding. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if you would be able to a binding that burly enough for you without dropping some £££. Just to give you an idea of price, I have given the price of a 14DIN and a 16DIN binding on evo.com.

STH14 - $249.99
STH16 - $299.99
STH16Steel - $479.99 (pricier due to full metal construction)

Super durable bindings: Look Pivot/Rossignol FKS, Salomon STH 16 steel, maybe Marker Jester Pro.

FKS 180. Mega durable. I love them. I've heard of people finding pairs for next to nothing at ski swaps. I found a pair on some old skis at Savers once.

I have the metal dynastar px-15 and they have held up great and were only $150 on evo. Thats the closest you will get to cheap and durable. Just look for something made of metal.

i got some almost completely full metal housed px jib 14s for $100 they were custom colorways and had a super narrow brake width or else they woulld have been $250+. just look around for good deals and since look has been around for a while just go to ski swaps and online and try to find some full metal bindings. if you are looking for the best quality with the lowest price, go FIND a px 15. it is a pivot 18 toe piece and a full metal px jib heelpiece. they dont make them anymore from what I know of, but I have seen them floating around on some pow skis in Sell and Trade.

Well I swear by Look bindings. You should give Pivot 18s (same exact binding as FKS as they are owned by same people), or PX 14 Jibs.

Your problem is that your binding's dins don't reach your needs.

No, the problem is that they're shitty plastic pieces of shit. Very few people need DIN over 12.

I'm pretty sure he need a din higher then 12. He's putting his din at like 10 or maybe more so a 12 din binding is no good. You don't want to be at 11 on a 12 din binding imo. But yes he need a better binding with more metal.

You never want to max out a bindings din though. If you do it's under a lot of strain. The higher the din CAN go the better, to an extent. In my racing days, I was on an 18, but had my dins at 9 on race day. A lot of those guys had 20s.

Sure and I know that, but it's not like DIN is the reason for his bindings breaking. Telling someone to bump up their DIN value without knowing details about their skiing is a bit irresponsible IMO.

I agree. He might just beat up his gear more than going hard. We dont know that. I am not saying that OP is lying, but since we dont know, maybe he just needs some metal bindings instead of plastic because he hits them on rails, or he doesnt take care of them. it is almost impossible to make that kind of assumption correctly without atleast seeing an edit of him skiing. Din is definitely not the main factor in this. He just needs metal bindings unless he is using 3-10 din bindings. In that case, din would help out.

I'd go with a 15-18 DIN deadbolt/mojo/peak binding. I'm 6'4 and about 265 and have the deadbolt 18. I don crank my din super high, but love the comfort of having a metal binding.

I agree with that, but I wasn't JUST saying to bump his DIN. My main point is that he NEEDS a higher DIN that his binding can't handle, therefor his bindings are under too much stress causing the breakage
