Looking for a nice watch

something that goes well with a suit. i've never been a watch person and i don't even know what brands i should be looking for, so any help would be much appreciated.

ideally in the $300-500 range. nothing too cluttered or busy looking, nothing huge and bulky. i'm not a thick guy. though i do like the chronograph style..

Threads.

I work in an office setting where you can wear nice jeans and t-shirts or class it up with chino's and a button down and I'd really like a nice watch I can wear to work and wear for the special occasions I wear a suit.

But for OP I think if you're wearing it with a suit you should get metal not leather. I would suggest something with roman numerals, they look so sick and classy as fuck. I tried this one yesterday but went with above cause I wanted more casual.

Much cheaper than your price. I don't know too much about pricey watches but I think the roman numerals look good.

I can't remember if I posted in here already, but I love Tisot watches, also I got a Certina while in Switzerland that I absolutely love. Both companies have some great watches under 500. I mean, I love the looks of Omega, Rolex, and I'm not sure how it's spelled Bulvatti or something? Don't pay attention because as a college kid they're way out of my price range. When I get a stable career I'll most definitely be picking up a couple decent watches though.

The victorianox you posted was nice. Citizen makes decent stuff in your price range. If you can pony up a bit more cash and pick up say like a tag heuer Professonal series (around 700-1300) watches with a name like that really hold their value, some even appreciate. And to people who don't get spending on a watch aside from the practicality you can tell alot about someone by their watch. For instance if my doctor (you work in a hospital?) was wearing a Nixon I'd be like sweet.. Not. Especially if you're working with other doctors. Serious watch will be taken seriously, at least with adults. I wouldn't expect teens to know the difference between a nice looking watch and a nice watch but alot of adults or professionals can.

exactly this, i have a victorianox and its really great, nice weight matches well, great quality for a ~500$ watch-Personally the tag heuer Professional series looks just like a rolix rip off to me not a huge fan.

I hate Nixon watches more than anything on people over 21, actually if you have your drivers permit lose the nixon.

found a winner. went with victorinox. i had narrowed it down to victorinox and tissot based on personal taste, and i found that tissot was a little more dressy looking in general, and in the price range i was looking at.

chrono classic with the black leather band.

With (most) watches it is like it is with most of the things - you get what you pay for - same goes vor Invicta. In that price range Seiko is much better.

I hate the way they tell how they have an MSRP of a million billion but they always sell for a fifth of that.
Its like they are trying to scam people into thinking they got a good deal because it was 80% off.

Been rocking a Kyboe giant mariner 55 for a couple weeks now. All the way from my stylish uncle in Sweden. Those Swedes set the trends cuz the watch is massive.

Bulova makes some great watches at a reasonable price.
I have this one and it gets compliments all the time. Automatic movement. It runs between 375-450 bucks generally.
