Replying to 2nd Year College Housing Options?

Alright heres a question for you Newschoolers who have been through college. Right now Im going through my second semester of college at the University of Cincinnati. I commute at the moment because college is expensive as fuck and the cost is about half of what it would be if I had room and board expenses tacked on too. Next year I will most likely be getting some pretty good scholarship money that I couldnt get this year, and I'll have enough to like on campus. So heres the deal, do I live in the dorms, get a house with a couple of buddies, or get an apartment thats University Affiliated? I feel like the dorms suck, but theres a lot that goes on in them socially and its probably going to cost more than my other options. Would I be missing out on anything not living in a dorm at least one semester? Thanks for your opinions.
