New ski dilemma.

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a new pair of ski to had to my quiver.
I'll be buying them in march or next year, so next year model could be good.
I have really good deal with salomon, but I can go with any other brand, the ski will be mount with salomon guardian.

Im 5'10'' and 160lbs, I'm a good skier, I'm skiing since I'm 7.
I'm skiing Revelstoke and roger's pass. Right now I have some 185 opus with baron's, they are my daily driver. I love them, but I want something maybe a little stiffer and less jibing oriented.
I have some 2012 too, but i'm not skiing them much, just for urban.

Now the problem is I don't know if I go fatter, 120+ or smaller, like 110 or so.
I have no problem with the Opus on groomers and tracked snow, but I hate when i'm in chop and really heavy snow. So I was looking at the rocker 122 which are not really fat but I can have them for like 550$ with binding new and they look better for chop and going fast.

Right now my choice would be:

Rocker 122
volkl two
Atomic bent or automatic
Nordica bushy
on3p bg's
dps wailer 112

I've heard you can really charge on the Surface New Life's, super stuff so they drive through crud too.

id recommend something on the thinner side. ill be easier to ski more of the mountain, and more fun in powder cause you can get deeper. ive got a pair of volkl gotamas which are 106 underfoot and they make a bitchin all mtn ski with a powder priority.

Yea, I was looking at them but the huge rocker will be bad for touring IMO, maybe some have some feedback on some touring on the NL's. Would be nice.

And who cares. Yea smaller ski would be great, that's why I was leaning on dos wailer 112, but i'm not sure. I want something that's still fun in powder and I love to have a big for landing cliff. I'll try some smaller ski in deep powder soon to see if I like it

185 opus are awesome for charging pow lines and landing switch, so you could get a lighter, narrower, more technical setup if you wanted for those days when you don't feel like lugging your Opuses up a gnarly ascent. Check out the Atomic Blogs, Line Blends, or even Armada jjs. They will still feel jibby and fun, and you can still stomp switch landings, but they'll be considerably lighter.

I can't imagine why people turn heavy ass powder skis like the opus into AT setups. I know I'd rather spend my energy charging down the hill, and have an easier time cruising up it.

Ok, but If i'm leaning toward smaller skis, I want something stiffer than the opus tough.

I had the JJ's and didn't love them, maybe because I had the 175cm and I was 5'8 at that time, and the JJ's are a little too soft and not really a ski that I like. I don't like armada powder ski in general.

The blog look, but the blend is too small and soft.
I'm leaning toward dps wailer 112 right now, they are light and look really nice.

For the heavy ass set-up I don't really mind, I'm doing like 1 400 m on a day normally and I'm still fine.
I have enough energy for my run down.

if you have the cash, go for it. I've heard DPS makes amazing skis!
