RIP Chris Kyle

For those of you who dont know who Chris Kyle was he was a sniper with SEAL Team 3. He was the greatest american sniper by racking up a confirmed 160 kills with MANY more uncounted for. Along with being awarded the silver star. On February 2nd Chris was killed by Iraqi war veteran Eddie Ray Routh at a firing range. It truely made me sick hearing this. I figured I would post this to show how incredible he and all our armed forces are. R.I.P Chris Kyle

well it's really sad but not that shocking. I mean he went to a shooting range to help a guy who had PTSD from war.

It's wasnt an accident the murder was suffering from post war stress so Chris took him to the range to help him out and the guy shot Chris in the back on purpose.

That's a tough one. Not really going to jump on a side but where do you draw the line. When do you become responsible for your own actions? Did people tell the nazi's, you just thought you were doing what was right, it's not your fault that people told you to do bad things.

Id say this: A soldier needs to have a drive to want to carry out orders to better protect their country, or atleast their brothers. If they receive an order that says " Shoot this target, it'll help us" Then they probably believe that they're bettering their country and helping their fellow man. Obviously if the commander says " Kill all these women and children, they're a threat" then its a different story.


In the end, yes hes the one pulling the trigger, but whether he found satisfaction in killing others or satisfaction in serving his country, thats something we cant know and I think thats the deciding factor

I just stated that karma isn't one sided. And probably, although killing someone with a sniper isn't very honorable. And on top of all that, I don't care much for hero's.

How in any way is killing someone with a sniper not honerable? In many cases, he would be providing sniper cover for a platoon or marines. By killing enemies with a sniper rifle he would be protecting the lives of many other carageous Americans. If that is not honerable, I don't know what is. Your logic is fucked.

Amen, I fucking love this guy. He was so honorable, he never proclaimed what he did was right. or that he wanted to kill people for a living. But war is a drug and some people are drawn to it. For your pussy ass, maybe its not for you. But sadly when Our leaders make decisions our young men have to go fight for what this country stands for, and that is what Chris Kyle did and did it damn well.

he also received like 7 silver stars, and 5 bronze stars with valor.


His job in Seal team 3 was to provide cover for front lines marines and soldiers in Iraq. so By shooting someone with an rpg he saved how many lives? that what you have to think about. not the total number of kills, but the lives saved.

I like that in his book he doesn't talk about the people he killed, he talks about the people he saved. That to me shows that he did his job to protect people his fellow soldiers. Not to get satisfaction for taking another human beings life.
