So, my mom needed new ski pants, so we found some new ones on ksl (Utah's version of craigslist) for cheap, we went in, and he had a bunch of other gear for sale and he had an armada jacket that he used 2 times for oly 30 bucks, so i bought it, got online and its retail is 449.99! Post your coolest deal ever!
got some Look pivot 18s on evo this fall for 200$ seeing how they are a 400$ binding i was pretty happy, got a 270$ saga jacket for like 120$ and then got full tilts on ebay brand new for like 350$ (the red twalls), i consider myself a great shopper
I have probably bought over 5 grand worth of stuff in the past two seasons...I've only spent $1,200 on skiing in those two seasons (and that includes trips/tickets that aren't included in the $5,000 worth of gear)...hard to tell what the best deal is on. I'd guess other than stuff for free my best deal was paying $150 for brand new 12/13 Tom wallisch full tilts.
Free 4frnt VCTs because the store screwed up my order and sent me the wrong year STLs, then VCTs, then finally the STLs I ordered.
That was 7 years ago. I have put >250 on those VCTs and less than 50 on the STLs. When I started using them as the daily driver the following year (6 years ago), people gave me shit for skiing on a 'powder' or 'fat' ski when there wasn't fresh snow on the ground. Now it seems 100-108 is the norm.
One times for 220 with atomic ffg 14
New lifes with griffons for 220
All my other gear I got for 60% off, or acquired in a trade. I can't believe people actually pay full price for gear. But, if you can swing it. More power to ya!
Surface no times for free brand new today, and than smith io with 3 lenses for 55, ios for 20 with 2 lenses, brand new Osiris shoes for 30, and 20 bucks for new Nomis pants.
Initially paying $330ish for two crates in the first smash and grab. After a couple months I had traded/sold all 10 pieces and had $100 and relatively new riding hoodies and a pair of oakley holbrooks. Yeeeeee
I remember being in a Savers just outside of SLC (sandy maybe?) and they had an old shitty pair of skis with pivot 12s on them for like 40 bucks. Came back the next day to grab em and they where already gone
boulder pro sale used to have the DEALS, too many people know about it now
my buddy got a pair of head mojo 1's with 18 din head bindings for 5 bucks...they were beat, but he has skied them many times since and are still going strong. bindings alone were probably worth at least 100
ever since I started working at a ski shop i've been getting mad deals, and working at one owned by vail is even better. got Brand new salomon STH 12's for 35 bucks. and just got salomon quest 120's for free in exchange for my old boots.
