Ive been heavy in the search for a truck. Ive been looking for tacos but they hold their value so damn well that you cant find one in a good shape at all for under 10k. I just expanded my search to the tundra, and I found a local one (2000 SB extended cab, 4x4) with 160k miles for a fantastic deal. Ive read on edmunds theres tons of really great reviews on it. Also not to mention, it has an almost identical fuel mileage of that of a 2003 taco 4x4. What do you guys think, should I pull the trigger?
V6 or V8? Both are super reliable and will go for 300k + miles. Assuming clean title, no liens, not a salvage, it seems like a good deal. I would take it to an independent mechanic to have it looked at before buying it, and maybe run carfax on it too.
my brother in law has a tundra and loves it. its a pretty nice truck, i liked my GMC better because its got a larger cab and was definitely a little more powerful than the tundra, but his tundra has been very reliable and his interior has held up much better than my GMC as well.
good truck. never had one but would recommend from the experience of others.
Tundra is equally reliable, it just doesn't have the history that the Tacoma has. Sometimes the other party just really needs to sell. Sometimes there's something wrong with it.
