New to filming: Need tips and recommendations

Hey guys,

So I have recently gotten into filming my buddies and want to take the step further into shooting and editing clips. I currently own a canon T1i that I have mounted on an Opteka X Grip. I also have Final Cut Pro 10.0.7 software I can use to edit the shots I get. Do you have any recommendations for a new filmer? They could involve filming, film editing, cameras and accessories, etc. Thanks!

Get out and film. Along the road you might want to invest in a better camera, and a better lens though. maybe even a tripod

I'd suggest hacking the firmware on your camera with the Magic Lantern firmware. Perfect if your considering stepping up your film game.

Im my opinion the biggest thing to do is to get out and shoot! Find what works for you, and what doesn't work for you, and try to improve every time you shoot, and have fun with it!
