IOS 6-6.1 jailbreak

hey everybody, im sure some of you have iPhones and want to jailbreak them. i've been waiting for a jailbreak for ios 6 for a long time, and there's finally one out. http://evasi0n.com evasi0n, and it works on all devices on 6 through 6.1. i'm in the process of jailbreaking my 4s right now, so i'll update on the progress if anybody is interested. have fun!

That is true, but still redsnow being tethered and all is a super fast reboot. Whatever, its all preference I guess.

this. i had my old 3g tethered, its so annoying to have to plug into your computer to reboot if it accidentally dies.

to the people who arent sure, its really personal preference. most people are fine with everything the stock os can do. if thats you, you probably wont want to jailbreak. i personally like it because you get a ton of cool new stuff. i havent had a jailbroken iphone for a year or two, since my 3g, so im not completely sure on all the new stuff. i've seen tweaks with siri, and the notification center to make them more useful. i'll post some screenshots with the more useful tweaks later

-don't have to pay for apps
-you can tether to a computer (bypass service provider's check for tethering service)
-install unauthorized apps

or you know, buy an android device so you can do all this shit w/out voiding your warranty

jailbreaking is the bomb. If your phone stops working for some reason and you cant reboot it then just take it to the apple store anyways. If it deosnt turn on then how can they figure out it is jailbroken.

Can finally torrent on my phone again, it's nice when I don't have my laptop and I want to watch a movie/show. Also emulators are dope, can play old games like mario, zelda or pokemon.

Well they have had the jailbreak out but its the first 6.0 UNTETHERED jailbreak which is a bigdeal.

No harm really to jail breaking your phone, just before you do it make a back up of it on itunes just to be safe!

yes.

oh and to everybody else, a lot of cydia apps aren't downloading. thats because of the massive wave of new users from the new jailbreak. im getting a ton of errors when downloading stuff, but it should be fine in a few days
