Dry Slope

I am interested in purchasing something to design a large drop in, jump, and landing. I am willing to spend some money, so I am not going to be purchasing orange fencing. I do not believe snowflex sells small quantities to individuals like this. Any other suggestions? I would like to try to stay away from Astro Turf, or anything that would tear you up.

email dryslopes ( not sure how many there actually are in america) and ask if they have any offcuts you could buy off of them. that is literally the only way you're going to get any in small amounts..

Which brings me to my original question. What companies? Snowflex, seems like they specialize in huge projects, I highly doubt they just have extra material laying around. And plus this isn't going to be a backyard setup, this will be used for a REAL jump, not rails.

Msnow is by far your best solution. It's awesome, I've been to a rail jam entirely on the stuff. You can even carve on it too.

Best bang for your buck is Msnow.

Advantages are that you can carve and set spins off of Msnow way better than snowflex. Snowflex doesn't work well unless you irrigate it. Msnow can be used dry. You can just attach Msnow to plywood base to create your drop in and lip, and it will be fast as long as your design doesn't suck.

Are you actually trying to build a dry slope kicker with a landing hill or are you building a rail set up?

It does look cool, but still pretty expensive. I wonder how good astro turf would be, wet with some dish soap. My wife is an office manager for a carpet company.

Astro turf won't work for a kicker unless it's covered in orange fencing which you have no grip on whatsoever. You can't tell us that money is not a problem and then say m-snow is too expensive.

I never said money isn't a problem. I said that I am not trying to cheap out and buy orange fencing, as I want to build a real setup. Just looking for the best bang for the buck. Thanks.

Check out the build a jib cult and view the videos that are posted in there. It's tough enough getting a drop in a lip to be functional. If you are talking about building some kind of backyard kicker with a landing hill, you are going to be spending some coin. You also need to look at whether the surface will need to be watered and soaped. If so, you need to think about how much that is going to cost: Water bil and the soap will do a number on your lawn. If you do figure out a way to do it, please post pics and video. If you succeed, you will be elevated almost to creedman672 status.

I am thinking of possibly doing Msnow for the in run because it seems the fastest, and maybe doing some sort of astro turf combo with misting water and soap. This isn't going in my backyard so no worries about the lawn.

If I were you I would do orange fencing for the run in because it is fast and use msnow for the actual jump so you can kind of carve and catch an edge off of the jump
