I know this thread is 3 weeks old but i'll chip in.
All 4 unis you mentioned have ski clubs.
newcastle, edinburgh and manchester are pretty big clubs. bath not so much. this might seem a little biased (as i'm at edinburgh uni) but of all of them edinburgh seems to have the best deal for freestyle. we have a decent size group or boarders and skiers of all levels who all go frequently. in the 1st semester we have weekly sessions at hillend (where the britigh uni dryslope champs is held), regular sessions to bearsden in glasgow (one of the biggest dryslope kickers in the uk) where we have a coach, regular sessions to the fridge in glasgow aswell and trips to the gymnastics centre to build on aerial awareness. around nov/dec scottish ski season starts so trips up north begin. we've then got xmas trip (like all of the 4 other unis will have). 2nd semester shifts focus to riding in the fridge in glasgow more, for the indoor champs, after that we do a trip to bearsden and a trip to the fridge every week on the lead up to the british champs in the alps, also with trips to the gymnastics centre. plus with most scottish resort within a couple hours drive away we go there a bunch and there are opportunitites for competing nationally. so its pretty organised and plenty of opportunities to go skiing and i think we're the most organised and busy freestyle teams. plus edinburgh is a better uni all round and freezeproshop store is in town so its really easy to get new gear esp boots.
