All I saw was switch cork 10's or whatever it was pretty boring after the 8th or 9th competitor threw the same trick. Hope that 16 year old kid is alright that fall looked gnarly.
^That was Andy Partridge, last I heard he was pretty much ok but was spending the night in the hospital for observation. His fall looked scary as hell though, for a little bit I honestly thought I watched a kid die.
I'm not sure if one exists...it was on tv today but I missed that memo and they may have cut that part out anyway. But basically he was upside down, opened up for some reason, dove headfirst into the ground, and had a seizure. Apparently another competitor's dad threw up after seeing that, it was super gnarly.
the snowboarding one was way worse than skiing, it was legit just back dub 10s over and over. Kenworthy and Schlopy kept it interesting on the skiing side I thought. Keefer's Rodeo 9 was fuckin huge too. All in all I enjoyed watching it, but it definitely didn't feel super serious.
Yah I mean I don't watch much skiing comps and I can't do the tricks that they are doing but is that how most comps do? Everyone just does the same trick over and over base on whatever trick is the "newest" or "most progressive?" If that's what ski comps are all about I guess I'm not missing much and I'll just continue to ski for fun and not keep up with the pros.
