Yeah he has to be one of my favorite riders. It's a battle between him and Eric Hjorleifson. Eric Hjorleifson's story behind him designing his original EHP was the one story that really got myself into my whole ski building endeavor here:

Was really cool reading about that story, and I was in a design drafting class at the time I had read it and it gave me the idea that it was maybe a project I'd like to do. Then fast forward a few years and Eric Pollard dropped this EPOV video:

After I watched that video, I new I had to take on the project. I was sold on designing and building my own skis. And so I did it and that thread I posted up there is really the rest of the story. Should have another update on the project tonight with some good pictures! But without the two pow slayers that both go by the first name Eric, I never would have gotten there (among much help from smany NS members, ski builders forum, friends, and a few brands like ON3P)

So yeah hopefully he get's healed up soon so that we can see him shredding the gnar again. I'm sure he'll be rehabbing with lots of editing and painting. Maybe we can expect some out of this world topsheets for two seasons down the road?

update: the medical plane (which was very delayed for customs reasons) got there and will be taking him out of Russia to Germany and hopefully home. Good luck on the (painful) trip and get better soon Eric!

Hi skiers. I'm Russian and I want you to ignore next Olympics, because our government are criminals and thiefs. They spend a huge number of millions euro and most of them was stolen. They destroyed the environment of unique location of Krasnaya Poliana Resort. Me and all Russian freeskiers are so sorry and so shamed of this incident with Eric. We wish him good luck and fast recovery!
