Im thinking of buying the volkl wall , cause they fit in my ski style, i just want to know how good they are : durability, pop and weight are. AAnd feel free to add any comment of them ( if you have good/ bad experience) ,thank you for your attention, peace!
I have the volkl wall 185 3,5 years now and edges are still holding up. The bases are kinda ruined but hey I go every week to the indoor slopes. The ski is rather stiff, not so great for butters but really more for bigger jumps and impacts. It's pretty much a nice, durable, stiff ski. Völkl doesn't measures true to length, 185cm is more of a 182cm.
Volkl has been around a long time and makes quality skis. Can't comment on the Walls specifically, but a Volkl ski is unlikely to just fall apart without serious abuse.
had a run with my friends walls. thought they were gona be more stiff, but still planks as far as skis go. I could get a butter goin, but it wasnt easy or cool. solid ski that is light and has O.K. pop and durablility is great.
I have some of this years step and i really like them. Theyre the model between the ledge and wall. I find them fairly soft but really poppy due to the carbon stringers. In durability terms i have done 2 weeks of solid park riding on them and i have minimal topsheet chips with nothing coming past the cap wall bit. Minimal base damage and a small ding because i fucked up hitting a down rail. The sidewalls are a little more cut up than i would have hoped but its still minor. So overall from my experience so far theyre fairly durable.
I got myself some Vokl ledges 2013 just there last Christmas and they are an amazing ski.
They were really light nearly wish I went a size cause they were so light.
A real poppy ski and just easy to lock in those grabs, wernt so great for all mountain though but an aswome park ski really recommend it!
