Mounting bindings - Armada AR6 (totally newbie)

Hello,

as I am totally newbie about skis (both all-mountaint and twintips) I'd like to ask about something. I've bought quite cheap skis AR6 for 80$ as a first park ski, I want to know where should I mount bindings.
I see on a ski 3 bars, what exactly do they mean? I have middle of my SPK boot above third bar on the ski. Is that ok?

Sorry for being so dumb, but I had 4 days skis on my foot, I know a bit more with snowboarding, but I am totally newbie if it goes to skis. I was reading loads of posts, but I dont exactly know what do you mean by saying "bind them at -2,5, -5, -1,5 etc". Is that like -2,5 cm or -5 from the first bar? or how it goes?

And the other thing is, I have 172 cm and I weight 72 kg which is 158 pounds~. How many din should I have? I just want to try my first park ever (small jumps, boxes maybe rails). I got tyrolia sp 120.

I'd take them to a ski shop and get them to mount them if you dont know what your doing and adjust your din pretty high because theyre gonna take a beating and you dont want em to pop off when u stomp your first rail

Yea, thats what I am going to do, but could you enlighten me with those 3 bars and your talking about '-2,5 is for park, '-5 is when ur gonna do regular trails too etc' and which bar is that -2,5, -5, because iI dont really get it? ;>

The -3, -2.5 stuff is the point at witch you mount your bindings at. -3 is 3cm from the center point of the ski -3 i believe is too far back for a park ski and more for a all mountain powder rider/ski. the mounting point is usually based on how you like your ski to be. i rode my AR7 -2 from center and then got my el reys at center mounted and liked hat much better for park and all mountain but its al preference. you have probably seen people say center or center mount that refers to drilling the binding into the center of your ski thus having the same mount of ski as you so in the front as you do in the back. if you are skiing more than 60% in the park i recommend you mounting your bindings center mounted.

thanks! so basically you are saying, that first bar on a ar6 is center? second bar = -2,5 cm, third bar = -5 cm from the center? I would do some photos but at the moment my skis are in my friends house. i need to know it so badly, cause im gonna go skiing in 2 days.

Ie don't know about the bars on the ski. But since you are going to ski park with them, take them to your local shop and ask them to center mount the ski, They will know what it means, and that is the point where the skis will perform best.

Depending on the length of your boot sole, your DIN setting should be between 6 and 7.
