just curious might be looking to buy pow skis around jan or feb. Im a east coaster, so i wanted a pow ski that is fun to play with like the caylor or jeffery.

those are my two options:
Caylor
or
Jeffery

Im 6'3 190.

So, I'm thinking of adding a pair of jefferies to my quiver of blue steeles and broken jmos.
How flexible are the 13 jefferies?
I like skiing fast, exploring trees, and hitting all sorts of jumps and natural features, as well as the park. Can anyone who's ridden them shed some light on the ski's characteristics? Can't seem to find a particularly detailed review.

I ride my Jefferys both on the east coast and when I got out to Utah a couple times a year. They handle pow very well in both scenerios. We don't get much powder in CT, but we did get a freak 30in storm last year and they were a blast in that. As far as when I'm out west with them, they were fine skiing Brighton side country in early April, so I'd imagine they can handle anything the east coast has to offer. I'd say go with the Jeffery for the east, 120 is a bit overkill for here, and the Jefferys are a bit more playful than the Caylors.

Not positive, but doubtful. Cant see them selling too many 191 Jeffreys.

I'm pretty sure our 186cm Jeffrey is as long (if not longer) than a 190 SFB. But a 191cm Jeffrey is being discussed - just not sure it will make it to production.

what would go into making a longer ski like that? could you just do a few, or do you have to completely make a new sized mold/press?

That's a good point. I was really just pointing out that you should make a longer Jeffery because, clearly, there is demand for a longer, jibby, ~110ish waisted ski. The new 193 praxis MVP comes to mind in that category as well. It's being made by Line, Praxis, etc because people want a ski like that.

194 would be a tad long I think. That would be like a 198 SFB.

a 191 on3p is already effectively a 194 from most other brands. Typically brand such as Armada/line/etc measure flat pre pressed material length, so when it is pressed and finished it comes out being a bit shorter. ON3P measures post press length, so they are true to size. If you take a 186 jeffry next to a SFB/jj/blog/etc it will be longer

181 and 186.

I'm 6 feet tall and close to 200 pounds so I should probably go for the 186, but I will tour on these quite a lot and so I'm worried about the rather long tail when doing kick-turns. That's why I'm also considering the 181. (and the 186 BG)

Most likely 186 Jeffrey + Dynafit Beast one-ski quiver next season(s) :)

jefferys are amazing. ive had mine for 2 years now. Perfect ski for everything. Wide enough for pow, carves really well and stable enough for park. I will buy another set when mine are done, which is lookig like will be a while

well i have some brand new Atomic Tracker bindings sitting waiting for ON3P to press some nice 191cm Billy Goats, loved them when i tried them at Alta demo day, great at speed in 6inch powder, good on the bumps etc...

weird seeing someone at 120lbs loved them and me at about 222lbs right now loved them too...

This could go in gear talk but I'm looking for more details on the fr then the punx... 16, 5'7'', 140. If consider myself a above average park skier for my age and am also a very good allmountain skier.(Not claiming.) so I'm just looking for a comparison from the filthy's to the punx(12/13 unless someone's ridden the new ones); flex, weight, swing weight... I spin jumps above 65 feet so I'm just concerned about the fr's being to soft underfoot because the new punx are stiffer specifically underfoot so I know they will be able to handle the bigger jumps. I would love to get on3p because I know how bomber they are and I have heard stories about punx not being the most durable. And I know the prestors will be able to handle the jumps probably better than punx but I don't want it to be that stiff.

From what I know about the punx, the presters are comparably stiff. Maybe someone that has more experience can chime in, but Dylan Sondrup and Joey Vandermeer both rode the presters all season, and never said anything about them being too stiff. They were specifically made to handle bigger jumps, as our team needed something that would work better for that stuff!

Kutcher seems to do fine on big jumps with the FRs, but I really think you'd be happier with the Prester. I haven't ridden them yet, but if I know how ON3P builds their skis they will be stable and fun. I'd be willing to bet (as TWoods said) the Presters are on the same level in terms of flex as the other competition level park skis (punx, ar7, wall/two, basically any ski you'd see someone ride during X slope). If you do want a softer ski, out of the two the FR will feel softer, but make sure you get some extra length because you don't want to wash out on 70ft jump (something I recommend for anyone looking to hit big jumps with soft skis). I rode the 181 FR last year, very stable but still very fun. But yeah, I'd probably go with the Presters in your case.
