While it's true that the intended location of the dimple is the ideal mount location for any of their skis, I would say it's always wise to double check how far that dimple is SUPPOSED to be from true center and then measure for yourself. If I had just gone off of the dimple with my FR's, my skis would currently be mounted a few mm's forward of true center. So yes, go off of where the dimple is supposed to be, but don't mount blindly without measuring first.

Not much on a ski that's designed to be skied a few cm's back from true center. However, FR's are symmetrical and designed to be skied at true center, so anything ahead of that would put you forward on the ski. It's less of a big deal on jeffreys or billy goats or one of their other skis, but I'm definitely glad I double checked before mounting my Filthies.

Actually, if a couple mm' would have made real difference(it won't) it would be more so on the BG due to the nature of the shape.

True, it would have more of an effect on a ski with RES. However, it it was a Caylor or Jeffrey or similarly shaped ski, I'd say you would be hard-pressed to feel a few mm's of difference in mount position.

I'm looking to pick up either a Caylor or a C&D, leaning towards the latter since I'll likely get next seasons Jeffrey. More or less looking for some help with sizing. 5'10" 161 and kind of split between 181 and 191. I've been riding 179 Line Opus for the last two seasons and they're on the short side. So I guess I'm just unsure if the 191 will be too much ski.

Get the 181 in either ski, you don't need 191. Have you thought about 186 BGs?

The thing is that the CD is a huge ski... it's stiff and got a ton of rocker. What do you want the ski for? are you looking to topple small trees and children in your path (and a ski that's basically for deep pow and not much else)? or do you want an all mountain capable ski that excels in pow but can tear it up in all conditions?

here is a review i did a few years back when i got mine. super fun skis that are really playful and poppy, yet stiff enough to charge through shitty snow and hold up in most conditions.

also after riding my friends bentchetlers for a few runs, i really see how awesome these skis are. they turn effortlessly in trees, i felt way more comfortable bombing tight trees on these than on the chetlers

Hey, I have been eyeing On3ps for a while now and since my blogs are starting to fall apart the Jeffereys are starting to look really good. How would they compare to atomic blogs? They look pretty similar by the numbers but maybe a little stiffer which I wouldn't mind. The J-mos also look like fun but might be too narrow for me. I am looking for a one ski quiver for Schweitzer mountain here in Idaho. I am definitely more pow oriented and spend much more time busting crud and hardback then skiing park. I don't spin much but I am looking for a playful ski, are Jeffery's my best bet? also what size? I am 6' 180lbs and have been skiing a 185 atomic blog which been pretty perfect although it might be a little short and soft. Thanks for any advice!

It sounds like the 186 Jeffrey's would be perfect for you.

I'm 6'2" @ 185lbs and ride 186 Jeffrey's as my everyday ski here in WA. If I am traveling, the Jeffrey's come with because no matter what the conditions are like, I know I will have a much better time if I am on my Jeffrey's.

Super super playful, but still extremely stable, especially at speed. That's not a combination that I've found easy to find in a ski for our heavy snow.

The tips/tails hand flex a bit softer than one might think if you've never had ON3P's in your hand, but they are supportive and are stiffer underfoot where it matters.

looking for a ski that can kill it in any type of pow condition ranging from a few inches to ft deep and can handle on groomers getting to lifts. Guna be skiing skiing Alta and Snowbird.I like to hit pretty much any feature i can find and drop cliffs. I was either thinking next years kartel 106 or the new jeffrey 114/122.Feel like 122 would be to wide/big for less than deep pow days.
Im 5 9 185

Any input would be huge.

I have last years jeffrey and they in rip every condition. I ride my billy goats only on deep days which means the jeffrey gets most of the work. If I were you I would go with the 114 jeff although I don't think you can go wrong with the Kartels or if you want to get crazy you could probably handle the 122.

On 120mm underfoot Caylors, but the man has balls the size of Sputnik. I'd be going with a Jeffrey cause I love my skis wide and stable rather than quick and nimble, helps em giver 'er.

122 won't be too big, but the 114 will definitely be a substantial enough ski for deep pow at alta, but at the same time more fun as an everyday alta ski.

It is really personal preference. I like the 122 underfoot.

Will the 114 Jeffrey be avaiable in a 191, or just a 186? 122 feels a little to fat for me for an everyday ski, but 114 is pretty much spot on. This season I've ended up supplementing my huge quiver of On3p skis with the 193 Helldorado as my everyday, but I want to go back to On3p's all across the line..
