University of Iowa Dance Marathon 19!

Alright guys. So I figured I would just post this here, I'm literally asking everywhere and everyone I know, I also do not know if I can do this here so mods if it is against the rules please kindly take this down. BUT. University of Iowa Dance Marathon is an organization that raises money for pediatric cancer. All donations we receive go directly to the University of Iowa Childrens hospital in our hometown. Currently I have raised $1090.00 which beat my goal of 1000, but I am just trying to blow that goal out of the water right now! Donations of 5 dollars or even 1 dollar help so much and make a difference in these kids lives!

Also forgot to mention, the "Big Event" as we call it is tomorrow. We go to the Memorial Union, nearly 2000 of us, on our campus, rent out the entire building and dance and do activities and whatnot for 24 hours, no sitting, no caffeine nothing like that. All of the families in the hospital currently or who ever had children with cancer and were part of this organization come, dance with us and celebrate. The whole experience is just awe inspiring.

thats awesome that everyone does it, dance marathon is so lame here

Yeah, its pretty awesome. Just witnessing everybody there is a sight in and of itself. I think we are something like the third biggest one in the nation currently. Last year we had almost 1.37 million dollars raised, and this year I am almost positive we are going to top that.
