could anybody make some " I Ride for Caleb" or " Caleb Moore, Ride In Peace" if somebody could run a huge batch of these i think everybody would throw two or three bucks in a S.A.S.E. . if somebody here on NS could hook up the community with these that would be sick,

it's how the action sports community deals with loss, don't patronize.

I think it's best that everyone waits for Caleb's family and close friends to decide how to memorialize him.

Please don't take this the wrong way- I have absolutely no disrespect towards this tragedy and send my condolences to the Moore family, but there's something about this sort of thing that I don't like. I feel like unless you actually knew Caleb or had a special connection to him/his family, you shouldn't have stickers about him.

Is a sticker really an acceptable way to mourn someone? Do you honestly dedicate your skiing/riding to him?

Also, not to be a dick or anything, he was a snowmobiler. Putting it on your skis would look stupid. It's tragic and all and RIP Caleb, but I don't like the idea

I see where you are coming from, but

1) it is still the x-games community and an extreme snow sport
2) i would like it now to show it off or anything but as a way to remember and respect how much these guys put on the line every time they send themselves through the air.

except you're asking for money in an SASE which is like you're capitalizing on his death. If the Sarah Burke foundation started selling stickers I would buy those because I know that my money spent is contributing toward carrying on the legacy of Sarah. what would me sending $3 to some guy making RIP Caleb Moore stickers do? I'm just not a fan of people capitalizing on the death of people

and i feel like every time someone posts about selling stickers for something like this somebody else tries to call them out for "capitalizing on death". the sticker seller is CLEARLY just asking for the production costs to be covered, not making money off of it. its pretty simple

i dont watch snowmobiling, never have, never will.

kid was 25 years old, walked away from a crash, and died later

maybe stickers isnt the right way to mourn, but its a good way to show your respect for the guy. alot of people sticker up skis when people pass away in the snow industry.

maybe someday you'll understand, and i dont wish that day on anyone

No disrespect. Just a dumb idea i think. If we truly ski for someone and are inspired by them then we don't need to plaster their name everywhere. Instead the money can go to family members or foundations involved with the sport.

I agree. I mean it's sad that he passed away, and respect and condolences to his family and all but on here, a ski website, i don't think it is appropriate to just make stickers for this. Sarah/CRJ/Shane is different, we are part of their community, 99.9% of people on this site wouldnt know caleb apart from the 4 days you see him at x games every year.

Splice: once again proving why he deserves to be banned.

Caleb's death is a tremendous loss for the entire extreme sports community, and I would be proud to recognize his contribution to extreme sports progression. The kid always sent it, and sent it hard in the biggest arenas. May he rest in peace, and I hope his family (and ESPECIALLY his brother) can work past the loss of such a promising, exciting individual

I don't care he didn't ski; I would absolutely put a "I Ride for Caleb" diecut on my skis. However, I'm not pining for that to happen, because his family needs time to figure out how they want to mourn their loss.

Don't be that guy. I don't agree with having stickers made for someone that you only really watch once a year. I would much rather donate directly to a fund. Like special-j said, will you really dedicate your riding to him? I doubt it, most people won't. I don't see why they would.

Yeah, I can't see dedicating my skiing to caleb, as i never really watch snowmobiling. However, it's always sad when someone dies in the action sports world. Rip in peace caleb, and vibes to your family in this hard time. I wish these sports we love weren't so fatal, with some of the brightest stars in all action sports experiencing tragedy. It's sad that the best parts of my life could also end my life.

I watched Caleb fall that day. First thing I said was "Gosh, I hope he's alright". It's not like I don't care, I do.

Some people use the deaths of professional athletes as a means to establish community with others, even if the impact that the deceased had on the person in question was marginal. By symbolizing the dead in the form of tacky die-cuts and wristbands they are able to trophy their patriotism of the sport to others, with the unspoken expectation of sympathy or validation. In essence, it's narcissistic.

In one way or another I was affected by the deaths of many of the skiers lately, but since I (fortunately) didn't know any of them well (or at all), I didn't lose any sleep over it; let's be honest here. To act otherwise is just disrespectful.
