No one to ski with!!

I would go skiing everyday if I could, but I am basically the only girl and one of the few people that skis from my entire grade, so the problem is that I never have anyone to go skiing with. There is one other girl that i am friends with that skis but she can barely ever go and only has a few passes, where as i have a season pass. On top of that, my parents rarely allow me to go completely by myself.

I want to go as much as possible.. any advice?

This is rare a good looking female that wants to ski, where I'm from it always seems like there's a trade off either she is a babe but sucks at skiing/snowboarding or she's butch or lesbian and can shred hard. But my advice is just leave new York at all costs or if that isn't practical find someone that wants to ride more even if they suck help them get better and within a year (if the Partner is devoted) you will have a shredding homie , I did that with one of my friends and now he owns me ... But really I'm sorry you have to live in NY that sucks for skiing!

Ski by yourself, sounds lonely but honestly you can get a lot more runs in and you get to do what ever you want. You can meet a lot of cool people too when you are by yourself taking chairs with randoms which you might end up making some new friends to ski with too

I'm a girl, and most of my friends go to college and I'm taking a semester off to ski, so I am alone a lot of the time, and honestly just ski your ass off on your own (safely) and meet people on the lifts and, if you ski park, then people are always chill in the park. Just start up conversations and you will find people super quick. It worked great for me.

Same dude. My friends suck at skiing. I just ride solo with tunes. You can lap the park or hike a rail all you want so much faster and if I meet a couple chill people I'll run a few laps with them.

By yourself with music is so much more enjoyable on my opinion if you like to just focus on progressing.

But the way he put it made it sound as if he doesn't have any friends in general where as I just don't have many friends that ski. I'm sure he has friends though haha

word girl. know how you feel. All my friends are either twice a year riders, cheap and don't wanna spent the 90$ + gas to go for a day, my boyfriend coaches a ski club so I never get to ski with him, or they actually just suck and can't even get down the hill. I meet people, but never really see them again. And I actually personally don't know any girls that ski well...or any girls that ski in general. Sucks being a girl that rides park sometimes.

That's gotta hurt coming from the creator of the thread "No one to ski with!!"

You look decent though, probably smokin hot with goggles on. Just befriend the local boys at your hill and tell them you need someone to take them skiing... As long as your parents are insane enough to let you go with them you'll be set. Just remember, only put out if they buy you food at the lodge first.

i honestly feel like girls are very safe at ski mountains. (maybe not ski towns) Think about it you're on skis so you can go fast, and there are people everywhere, in the lodge, on the lift, etc. I feel like you can't go wrong meeting people at a ski mountain.

You are probably too young but chilling in the bar often is a good way to meet folks. If you have a fake ID just hang at the bar, the peeps you will meet probably have passes and will want to do some runs together. Everyone is pretty chill.

I would move somewhere with better skiing than Colorado. Unless you are looking for the whole ski "scene" and want your pick of desperate broke dudes with ugly beards etc etc.

Tahoe or the Alps I would recommend. Utah, British Columbia, Jackson Hole are all better than CO as well.

I was at Vail 3 days this week and thought the mountain was so goddamn flat. Each day was powder and it was a lot of fun off the slopes, and was nice to have the bells and whistles of a fancy hotel next to the gondola with pools, ski check etc etc. But the terrain sucked serious dick.

Was still a cool place since its huge and the apres ski bar scene and chilling is better than anything else in America but I have no clue how anyone who takes their skiing seriously can be satisfied with beginner/intermediate mountains... which is what Colorado ones are.
