I remember seeing this somewhere before, trying to find the video and it all being taken down, so when I finally found a working one I figured I should reupload it. Always a cool video to watch and it seems a lot of people have never heard of/seen it. Definitely worth the watch.
btw anyone know where in Whistler this was? Would be cool to find the spot and see if the "natural jump" is still there. Looks like one of the upper bowls to me.
are you kidding me? that guy is a fucking OG. Aerials/freestyle was not what it is today, and that guy said "fuck it ill go quad" in the name of progression and STOMPED a quad off a gnarly booter. props
so he flipped back to 1964 or so? He better not create any paradox's... i'll be pissed. Like, if snowblades were never invented!! Can you imagine the CHAOS THAT WOULD INSUE?
i cant watch old skiing because they think they know whats up and that there skis are good but when in reality he looks like a fucking idiots the entire time.
That's awesome. I have heard of that before, but I have never seen it. Pretty sure that jump is called "Jump for Joy". It is the same wind wave that Adam Schrab did the first Dub Misty.
What's really amazing is that he was probably skiing on 205s or longer. For all you youngens who have never skied on anything other than a center mounted ski less than 190 cms, you have no idea how hard this would have been. When you throw a back on an oldschool straight pair of 205s mounted traditionally back, you feel like you get stuck halfway. It's like it's easy to get inverted, but a hairy bitch to get your skis back under you again.
What a beast! I'm kind of surprised that the Canadians didn't rename of province after him.
