Replying to Has anyone ever just picked up and made a huge life change on a whim?

Well its not quite on a whim but it sure feels like it. I have been not too happy about where I am in my life, working a decent job that pays well but its not a like of work I enjoy. I don't like the city I live in and really don't have many friend I feel like I am leaving behind (after 6 years here that's shitty to say).

I have toyed with the idea of leaving and going somewhere new to start over but can't find a job yet anywhere else, nor do I even know where to begin looking cause I could honestly go anywhere. I just know I don't like where I am.

I am just looking for some stories of people who picked up, left everything they knew and went somewhere they didn't know or didn't know well.
