Lost Ski at Bridger

Hey guys, so Bridger was insanely deep today, and I was having the time of my life, that was until I lost my ski. Its a 12/13 ON3P Caylor, bright orange bases, and blue P18's. If you're a Bridger local, you may know the little creek in North Bowl in between where Two Way Street and Cuckoos Nest/Lewis and Clark/Sometimes a Great Notion dish out. Well, I skied into that, and now my ski is gone. After quite a while searching for it, I had no luck. So if any of you guys ski those lines it would be a huge help if you could keep an eye out for my ski or make some turns underneath the creek and hopefully uncover it. Thanks a lot! Have fun shredding all this fresh snow! Here's a photo of what the skis look like:

also, if anyone has a metal detector, or knows where i can borrow one, or knows if bridger has them, could you let me know? that would be fantastic.

Did you alert patrol? They'll probably be the best people to either get a metal detector from or know where to direct you

yep. i asked if they had a metal detector and they said they didn't. basically they told me to come back in june when the snow has melted. i'm gonna look for a detector today though and hopefully go back up and find that bitch

Weird...I may have seen you up top before that happened. Maybe try the Rental Shop for a metal detector? I'm not really sure where you would find one. Getting a ski in the spring pretty much requires that you're the first one to see it, so I'd try to find it before then.

yea i've been searching around for a detector, and my buddy told me theres a place in town that rents them so i'm gonna check that out. and to ullr, i'm still shredding bridger, just not on my caylors. no way i'm gonna let this much snow go to waste because i don't have my fatties! see you up there

And after you find it(we believe in you, it'll happen!) maybe you would want to look into a strap, like for teles.

the problem with straps while skiing, is that if you take a nasty fall and your ski releases, you know have a 6 foot piece of sharp metal and wood tied to your ankle tumbling down with you. Its a great way to get a nasty laceration, or incur expensive dental work.

rented a metal detector and searched from 9 30 to 1 last saturday. probed everywhere and no luck. super bummed. :( oh well i guess i'll find it when the snow starts melting

You need anything to replace them in the meantime? I have a few pairs of 185ish skis between 115 and 120 underfoot I can sell cheap. Also have 191 billy goats I guess, still haven't mounted them.
