So here's the story.
Last night I started cleaning out my wallet a little bit getting rid of old receipts, cards, you know, the regular.
I come across a folded receipt and am intrigued by this for some reason unknown to me and I unfold it. Upon examining it, it is a receipt from one "Fleet Wash" in Grimes, Iowa. But here's where it gets weird.
I have owned this wallet for a maximum of 2 years, probably less. I was born in 1993, and have been to Iowa once about 2 years ago, and that was just driving through at that, no car wash was purchased. Here's the kicker: this car wash was purchased on January 30, 1998 at 1:18 am.
I called the number on the receipt and it took me to the directory of some company named Ryko Solutions. I Googled the address and it took me to a building called Des Moines Imports.
Is this evidence of me having time traveled? Am I the victim of an extremely well executed/obscure prank? Will I never know? Probably not.
This is a mystery as to how it got in to my wallet. Does anyone out there in Iowa (particularly Grimes region) have any idea if this place exists?
I will try to get to the bottom of this, but it doesn't look hopeful. Any insight, NS?
