So basically I fell of a rail this weekend onto midwest ice, and my thumb hurt. I went in 30-40 mins later and it was the size oft a baseball. Ortho says I have a partial tear and he thinks I can get by without surgery, but going next week to make sure. He says recovery time is 3 months to sports and up to or over 12 months for full heal. Any experience in this would be greatly appreciated.
its fine, did mine 2 months ago. Have the surgery, get pins put in then wear a splint till you get them taken out 6 weeks later when your skiing. I competed 2 weeks after mine was done. Its whatever!
