So im a soph in highschool, and I've never had a gf. Theres this girl I like right now and I kinda wanna ask her out, but 2-3 years after I graduate im moving outta PA and going to colorado (in the winters) and cali (in the summers). I kinda wanna gf but at the same time I don't. It just seems like a waste of time. I think I'd rather start my company, get a stable income and move out before that, relationships just seem like a cluster of bullshit (at least highschool ones, the ones after that seem pretty legit). Thoughts guys?

I would ask for serious answers but this is NS, so yeah.

Yoooo dawggggg those amount of years are a lot of years. You WILL end up wanting a relationship within that time span, whether now or later. The experience is just as important as all that other stuff you are worried about, don't worry. It's seems like a big deal but just do what you want, ask someone if they want to do that, and if you both do then woohooo and if they don't, well you're both glad you had the opportunity. It will probably seem like a random time in the future will be more perfect will stay in the future and you'll never get there

You're worried about getting a girlfriend because of your plans 2-3 years down the road? Don't be silly. Have fun, ask her out ..in all likelihood it'll be like any high school relationship. Fun and then it's over, and that's okay.

Relationships are in fact clusters of bullshit. Try not to worry about them, because they are not necessary by any means in high school. Especially if you plan on moving far away after HS. Im a senior in HS and I like this girl but it really wont matter when I move away to colorado for school next year.

no need for a relationship. commitment is sick and all...but you get sick of it 8 months after it, and your plans for when you get out of highschool are great....but i've changed my plans once every year, i quit trying to plan my life, and just prepared for whatever life threw my way. just play it by ear, and get with ladies, no need for commitment, especially in highschool
plus, you have highschool parties, where the pussy has an excuse to get with anyone because it's "deeruunk"

Dear lord, I swear you sound just like me 6 years ago. You want some real advice, when it comes to women, never ever ever pass on a good thing. If you think you would rather spend your high school years "sleeping around" then your being stupid. Relationships are full of bullshit, girls can be incredibly irrational, but that's life, call it training and you'll be a better man for it. Also, I would like to point out that sex is always better when you get to practice with the same person over and over, like a LOT better.

why? I'm a sophmore and i'm in the steadiest relationship of my life. Honestly, my advice to you is to become friends with the girl first, then try to ease it into a relationship. Only danger is friendzone. But trust me, its worth it.

didn't read the thread, but when I was that age I went through probably 3-4 girlfriends in that time span. i wouldn't neglect pussy because you're leaving years down the road. chances are, you won't still be with them by then anyway. and if you wait until way later in life to begin relationships, you're going to make a lot of "noob" mistakes at a point in your life when you should be past that kind of stuff.

I 'got' a girlfriend when I happened to be a sophomore in highschool. Had no idea what I was doing. Nearly 9 years later, best relationship ever & couldn't be happier. Never planned for it. It happened. But then again, I wasn't some pussy who spelled the word 'fuck' as "f*ck" and who wouldn't ask a girl out because I was using too many mind.

If I hadn't dated girls in high school I would have had no idea what I was doing later in life. I didn't date girls in high school because I thought I was going to marry them, or even be with them a year later. High schools just all about having fun. It's fun to hook up with a girl in your parents basement when you're 16.

Had a similar situation (but shorter timescale). I had been fucking this girl for about 4 weeks and was going graduate uni and leave for canada in 9 months. She asked for some commitment and I didnt want to get to the end of the 9 months and have some over emotional break up as i blindside her with moving half way across the world. I agreed on seeing her properly with the understanding that it wasnt going to go further than the end of the uni year. She accepted it and 4 months later and we're both very happly together. for your situation I wouldnt say to her about the 2-3 year plans as its frightening to anybody that you're thinking about relationships that far down the line. Just go for it and see how it goes and if you do get that far and dont see it going further, dont wait too long to tell her. Like others have said you're thinking too far ahead with this, just go for it see how it goes and enjoy it.
