Local resort advice?

Hey NS of Washington,

I'm looking for some local resort advice for an upcoming trip. East coast skier with little knowledge of the PNW.

I'm spending 3 weeks travelling around different resorts in BC and WA. I'm planning on spending 3 days at a resort in WA and I'm not sure which one? I'm deciding between Mt. Baker, Stevens Pass, and Snoqualmie.

I'll be driving from Vancouver, and I'm not looking to drive more than 3-4 hours. I only plan on skiing inbounds, and if possible a little hiking/touring on the resort to get better lines or untouched snow. I'm also hoping to get some filming done, ideally on pillow lines, windlips, natural booters, or good spots for making jumps.

I'm looking to stay close to, or on the resort, nothing to expensive, but not a hostel style accommodation. Low-mid prices with little amenities.

Based on the info above, what would you recommend? What has the best terrain, best snowfall amounts/chances, least amount of people (midweek), most accommodation fitting my preferences, and which overall resort is worth the money? If there is any specific recommendations, related to accommodations, or on mountain zones/areas, let me know.

if you're limiting yourself to inbounds do not go to baker

stevens is the next closest to baker, probably your best bet. there aren't any on-mountain accommodations at either resort.

why not go to whistler? or grouse? cypress?

baker has no slack country so thats probably out, stevens would be your best bet i think

1. Ski baker, but be willing to hike
2. Ski Stevens and Crystal. They're pretty fun inbounds.
3. DON"T ski snoqualmie. It kind of sucks, and not in a "its actually really good here but i f I lie and say it sucks you won't come so more for me" kind of way, it really does rain alot more there than anywhere else.
4. Make it down to Oregon. Hood Meadows and Ski Bowl are fun and still a (full) days drive from Seattle. Bachelor is even farther but one of my favorites of all time
5. If a warm wet system is coming in, ski white pass or mission ridge. They have the highest bases and rain at snoqualamie and baker can be pretty light pow at those two.

There ya go. Still not sure why you're not going to whistler, revy, kicking horse, red mtn, whitewater, etc,etc

But why go there when you can go to Stevens and get way more lift accessed terrain? You're gonna get lift lines from the Seattle horde no matter what.

stevens but leave at like 2am if u want to park your car in the 50 parking spots they have there :)

If it's nice you could hike to hogsback at Whitepass, it can get hit pretty hard with wind but when their is fresh snow it's worth the small hike.
