Boot Help

Ok, I have really wide and flat feet, and big calves. I was just looking at freestyle/freeski boots/brands that you guys know would fit me better so that I can try those first when I go to get them fitted.

inb4 go to a boot fitter.
I already am planning on it, I was just wondering from your experiences which would be the first to try

Instead of looking for brands, ask the bootfitter to find you a wider last boot (100mm +) when first trying on boots. Also with the flat feet, I honestly have feet as flat as they can possibly be, and the best way to help ski with them is to get a custom footbed. Custom footbeds honestly make skiing thousands of times better.

It really depends. What is your height/weight? Skier type/ability? Age? Skier type? All these things play a role in what kind of boot will fit you best.

This. Pull the stock footbed out of your boot, it's usually a cheap piece of cardboard, and the nicer the boot you buy the flimsier the the cardboard is because they know that anyone buying a high performance boot already has custom footbeds that they will be throwing in there.

Yeah, my arches are pretty much completely blown out. I would need surgery on them. And I was just looking at which boots/brands to start out on when I go, based on wide feet. THe ones I have are too small right now and I cant have the footbed in them because of that

Yeah just look at wider boots, I believe that most boot companies make a fairly wide boot, however if you need something like 105 mm+ then you may have some difficulties. Just go into the boot fitting with an open mind and pick the boot that feels the best, not that looks coolest. Best of luck mate.
