Scams on NS?

I'm trying to buy some gear off of another NSer, I'm a little sketch about whether its legit or not. 

Have we had issues with scammers trying to 'sell' gear on this site?

It would be a bad Idea to wire (paypal) a full payment to this person and expect that I'm not getting duped right?

The internet is a grimy place

yea scams have happened before, but with nasty turnouts for the scammers. sagaa's house got egged

Check their feedback, see if they are a well known person of the community, get every detail about the person before you send money(address, phone number, etc).

Just don't gift it, so incase the seller fucks you can file a case with paypal and get your money back.

this. ask them to take pictures of the items with their names by it, don't send it as a gift on paypal, and check their feedback most of all
