Since I am moving to colorado this summer for a couple years, I was wondering what the best options for skiing would be. My 2 closest options will be Steamboat or Powderhorn. They are both exactly 2 hours away. I will be a college student(inb4 worry about school) I am getting an applied science degree in aviation, which I am already profecient in.) So would a $1,100 season pass to steamboat really worth it? The powderhorn pass is only $300 but Ive heard that the lifts are slow and the whole area is quite outdated, but has really fun powder. From coming from Pennsylvania, which of these will give me the best experience?
I'm taking it that since you're moving out there for school, moving closer to Summit County isn't an option? If not, Steamboat. Great Area, the Village is awesome, super fun activities off the slope, and I've heard much better things.
