they have a kind of strange feeling to their music which seems to remove it from hip hop slightly. nonetheless, röyksopp has made some great stuff.

and as an extra, make sure you listen to the instrumental of eminem - stan (ft. dido). it's one of the best beats (only with the hook though) that i've ever heard. enjoy.

Ah must of blew right past me, my bad. But I can see where you're coming from, I definitely listen to Modal Soul more but I like both albums the same. I find to listen to Spiritual State to it's full extent I have to be in the right mood, kinda weird but it makes the album so much better.
