This is a good example of why I respect Schlopy's skiing more than, say, Goepper or Bobby. Sure, all three of them are competition jocks (for the most part), but would you ever see Goepper sack up and try something ridiculous like a 19 (yeah yeah future spins whatever) and risk getting injured? No way.

Schlopy straight up hucked a ridiculous spin when the gold was on the line. That's a good competitive attitude that also makes skiing fun to watch.

I don't even care that big air has become spin to win and that it's approaching ariels.

Every year - EVERY year - big air creates this fucking insane environment of chucking the craziest shit out there. Everyone is one upping each other and the level of tricks being thrown is just absurd. The technicality goes through the roof every year. I find myself having to pick my jaw up off the floor multiple times because I can't believe what's being thrown.

Every year I think it can't get crazier...

and it does.

It gets so rowdy and the tricks get so irresponsible that I can't help but love it.
