JJ and Touring - What Skins?

I have black diamond accessions for my bibby's, haven't used them yet but they are supposed to be great. I'd get the 140 and trim them down to the sidecut of your JJ's, but you could probably get away with the 125.

the regular size tip loops don't fit onto the tips properly, keeping the skins in place. And I've never heard of anyone using marker skins, they are also expensive. Just get accessions, it's basically what everyone has.

dont know from personal experience but heard alot of good things about g3 skins

they are pretty good, but on twins the tail clips dont hold as well as the sts clips on the BD's so a lot of pfople end up having to get a $20 adapter

The BD Ascension skins are 100% nylon, while those Marker skins are 100% mohair. The nylon skins are slightly heavier and glide less, but are more durable and will grip better on steeper stuff. Mohair skins do about the opposite of that.

I have used BD Ascensions extensively, BD Glidelites (BD's version of mohair skins) less extensively, and purchased the 50-50 mix BD skins for my Dynafit/Jeffreys this year (about a dozen days on those).

From using all 3 types of BD skins, I would recommend the Ascensions. The nylon will likely hold up best to everyday use and keeps you going up pretty much anything, provided that you have proper technique.
