Seriously...if you've never played with fire... don't bother.
People have no idea the power of opiates and it really is sad to see people fall down that path whom you would've never guessed to see doing so.
smoke weed and enjoy that high, these will leave you wishing you had never tried one even once if a problem persists...
and to the ones saying you don't know how people get addicted to this shit...consider yourself lucky, you don't have an addictive personality/gene set to contribute to the problem.
I've never understood this advice...
no one knows whether or not they are going to become a full blown addict. Granted, you are correct, some people can enjoy certain drugs once or twice and have fun while others chase that dragon from the first experience..
I just tell people to not even bother. Save them for when you need them and are prescribed for pain. If I could go back I would've never bothered at all.
For many, including myself, it starts as a once in a while thing...and as I stated, some can push the stop button any time they please, but for others...it just develops into a horror story that most couldn't even dream up in their sleep without even realizing it until it's too late.
Opiates will turn you into a person you couldn't see yourself being even in your darkest days.
Vibes...
The thing that gets me is how little to NOTHING relating to drug addiction is taught in schools. 15-18 year olds could benefit so much from some actually real advice pertaining to addiction and the power these drugs have.
and because of this idea that they are prescribed by doctors so they must be fine... they are in our school hallways just as common as a bag of weed. It's terrible.
And to anyone reading this who may be in a dark time of opiate addiction...or any drug addiction for that matter.
just know there IS light at the end of the tunnel. It's one hell of a road traveled to get there, but just know you can get back to the person you were raised to be/want to be.
yeah I wasn't bashing you at all...I agree with your statement and I honestly envy people who can use them for fun.
It's just a scary line to play around as no one is going to know if they will become an addict until it happens. It's really not worth it.
it's not like you become an addict overnight.
