Okay, so tonight I slid my first rail (flat bar), super pumped and stuff, actually it was kind of funny, my first attempt i nutted my self, badly, then I just said fuck it and i went for it and slipped out and then i got it like 5 times in a row. However, not one of those times did i feel even close to comfortable enough to do a switch up or 270 out or even come out switch. How do i get more comfortable on a rail? I feel so slippery and unstable when I am on it and i feel like any variation off, on, or during the slide is impossible. Do i just need to do it more and then as I do more i will get more comfortable? or is there a certain tactic that can help me grip the rail better?
also, this is just a random side question, when doing doing rails/boxes is it easier to slip out, and how much more forward do i need to lean? Is it much harder to do/ am i overthinking it?
