But at what point will it get
too big? Average jump size at resorts have multiplied in size in the last 10 years. Fuck not having any style and spinning fast, at what point does it just become too dangerous? The tricks that were groundbreaking and deemed insanity a few years ago, you now see 13 year olds doing at the local hill. Skiing has progressed so fast and so quickly, I find it really hard to believe that it will continue to do so at this rate.
There is still a lot of room in right side tricks and unnatural tricks for growth, but I think skiing is starting to get to the point where if it keeps expanding in amplitude, more serious injuries will occur than what already has been happening. With that being said, there will always be those who go out and push the limits no matter how big the consequences, I just don' think there will be a field of athletes able to compete on that level, as you see in competition world now.
