Shawn sucks, mcmorris ftw (i live at his hometown) and harlaut is defs better, shawn just wants to win. You could say harlaut doesnt really compete to win, he ompetes to have fun and see if he happens to win.

To bring this convo in a slightly different direction, is Shaun White lasting? And by that do you think he will have wide appeal or still be relevant in 10-15 years? Is he the next tony hawk? Or will we forget about him in that time? I think he will disappear to obscurity, maybe a commenting gig, but not much more.

I think shauns not even that good anymore. He got really famous because he won a few xgames and because of his hair. After that, including the olympics, he just wins because he's shaun white. Everyone knows who he is and people watch the xgames to see him win. He's not a versatile snowboarder. He cant ski slopestyle or rails.

Henrik can lose and still be stoked. Henrik has style. Henrik beat out biased judging with style, and had pulled the biggest trick ever thrown out of his ass on his first attempt EVER. Henrik is a solid dude. Henrik may have some nut riders, but only the equivalent to the amount of riders on one of Shauns pubes (and they are almost all Gapers). Henrik is also in the upper echelon of rail game, and Shaun barely keeps up with the crowd. Henrik films legit segments in movies and webisodes. He can also snowboard with style, Shaun can't ski with style. The only plus Shaun has is that he can compete in Summer X as well. But he is a bitchy pre-maddona, who has the worst fans on earth. And he is the least deserving snowboarder for the attention he garners. He only has Medals. He hasn't filmed a sick segment in a movie, he doesn't destroy backcountry, he is purely comp based. And primarily pipe. Which is the more jock-affiliated side of the sport. He is a one trick pony, and Harlaut is a well rounded skier. He isn't the best in the BC, or the best in every comp, or have the best segment of all time. But he does each of those extremely well, with so much style. And the best part, he is always pumped and has never had a pre-maddona Shaun White moment. Also, his finger dragged on that 100 point run, which isn't perfection... Yet all the commentators, and judges say perfection is key. and they don't give out Gold to somebody who makes a mistake... Yet he made a mistake that everybody always points out, which shows how biased judges have been. That run wasn't that good, fact. No hate on Shaun, just stating the facts. He is a pissy person, and gets way too much credit.

Shaun shreds hard, and it looks like hes having a fun ass time doing what he loves.


Henrik shreds harder than anyone, and has the most fun constantly, always with the positive attitude and hes innovating and creating for the sport he works for and loves.


They are both chill why cant anyone just think that and not argue shit and degrade others

He would have won without doing one, and you didn't have to be a rocket scientist to see how shaken up everybody but PK and Kai were, so he really only had to worry about Kai winning. He pulled it off on his first attempt, just to go for it. And ended up doing the craziest trick in history....

How many small mountain tours did Shaun do? Oh that's right, he's too busy training on closed off pipes and park runs because he's scared of human connection.

I don't think people realize that Henrik had been traveling around to 40+ different small ski resorts on the EC just before the X Games so...
