well it was from about 5-6 hours of skiing, and it happens every time i ski i lose the nails and they get mega fucked and i need surgery to get them off sometimes because they grow straight through my toe, probably shouldn't wear these boots any more but i don't have a choice

It isn't their fault you bought boots that don't fit and then wore them over and over even though they were injuring you. So the answer to your question is: No, that is not a normal amount of anything. You need new boots, it will change your whole experience.

Go back to him, see what he can do for you, and most def don't ski without a proper footbed.

yeah lesson learned, shouldn't have been so stubborn and skied on these at all once they started hurting my feet so much

yeah i had severely ingrown toenails not long ago and had the same problem, ruined my socks to, got surgery to make sure both sides of my nails (on my big toe) do not grow, they removed the nerve that triggers the growth, it helped a ton, but i dont know what they do to you, i had the procedure done like 7 times the last was the one where they removed the nerve, you may need somthin serious done if u dont feel like dealing with it anymore

i got the boots 2 years ago i think, and yeah i had the surgery done to remove what was there and they chemically killed parts of the nail to try and help it to not get ingrown

Holy shit are you stupid? Why would you continue to ride when it's literally ripping your toenail off? Did you honestly think that this was normal

I lose my toenails every ski season. My boots are fit very well, I just really like a tight fitting boot. Are your boots too big or too small?

way to big i believe, i tried on some FT boaters in a 28 and they felt a ton better, but i can barely afford rent so I'm not going to be skiing for a while i guess
