Surface Blanks

In the market for a new pair of skis and was browsing different sites and came upon the surface blanks... im a fan of the simple topsheet.
I am aware of surface durability issues but in comparison is the blank any different (worse)?

no-times but stiffer because they added carbon bands to the core. durability isnt as much of an for surface as it used to be.

i have the no times and the double times, i like the stiffness of my double times, more than my no times. i think the carbon stringers will be a nice improvement. i would go for it, if they still have last years double times for 250 i would get those, but their both sick, surface is a sweet brand.

my buddy snapped a nose after 10 days or so. It wasnt even that big of an impact. I wouldnt buy em, but they are cheap as hell and meant to be disposable. It is what it is

Sorta depends weight and what kinda skier you are though too. Plus side though is surface sells blanks not only in pairs but as singles too
