Bear Mountain

I was looking at going to Bear Mountain in 2014 and I was just wondering how things work over there. Accommodation seems pretty straight forward apartments condos etc. Maybe someone could recommend a good accommodation search engine. How does transport work from the lake to the mountain? Should I hire a car or is there a bus I can get. All help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Bus system up here is garbage. You'd need to drive up to the upper parking lot, or park in the lower one and take a shuttle up.

The whole town is less than 10 miles across so its pretty easy to get around.
There are new, pretty nice 'income based' apartments in the village as well as cheap houses for rent around town. If you have a car, you'll be better off.
