Here's something I wrote and recorded over the last several months. Most of the production was done with the help of my buddy. It kinda sounded better before we exported it.

That was sick!
Production was really solid too.
The loss of quality is probably SoundCloud's fault more than anything.

If you're at all interested in production you should check out this cult:
Mainly electronic music but there's lots of good info that applies to any type of music.

Cool stuff man! Did you mix this yourself? Whats yo setup? (DAW, drum program, etc.) I hope to get some tracks up soon, but my mixing skills are truly non-existent. I just plop the drums (which i can't program well - just accenting whatever the guitar is doing) on the track and adjust volume. Also, I really wouldn't say that was prog at all, but I don't care that much about titles. As long as you don't call it djent.

And lol @ your icon. Not sure if you heard the news...

A friend of mine did the mixing, I just watched and told him what sounded good. I'm not sure about the amp we used but it was all done on pro tools and the drums are superior drummer mixed with another one that I can't remember. As for the progressive thing I didn't really know what to call it.

interesting story about the haarp machine. kinda shitty I liked their album. I saw them with the faceless in early december and Al was being kind of weird and skidish, ignoring sound guys and stuff. then he didn't move the whole show and just played over a shit ton of samples. he was also the only one not chilling at the merch table so I guess he wasn't a very chill guy.
