Okay can we give mustaches a break for ten years?

Does anyone else think it's time for the whole world to relax on mustaches for a little while? every time a new douche grows out an ugly ironic mustache people still laugh like it's their first time seeing one, has the novelty really not worn off yet? it's like if you walked around telling the same joke every day, even if it's hilarious it gets old. mustaches are great but damn let's give it a rest for a bit

i have grown out a mustache for the past two winters. not everyone does it ironically. i actually enjoy my personal appearance when i have one, plus it keeps my face slightly warmer. though i did shave it before i went back to school cause people like you automatically assume i'm "that guy"

i dont automatically assume anyone with a mustache is "that guy," and i said i like them. im just baffled at the way people act like it's an original idea every time they grow one/see one. guys, im growing hair above my lip, isn't that so funny????

you and the dude below you... are you purposely ignoring what i write? ive already said i like mustaches and theyre not only grown as a trend but so many people still treat them like the funniest, most novel joke theyve ever encountered. let's find a new joke.. im not attacking anyone who grows one, im just bitching about people thinking it's still hilarious for some reason

no i am just trying to figure out what your point is? it seems like your ideas are conflicting. so by now i have gathered that you are annoyed how people react to them, not that people grow them. yet, you title your thread "can we give mustaches a break for ten years?" why would we give them a break if you want people to stop reacting to them in this way? wouldn't it make more sense that people continue to grow them, so the general population is desensitized to this "ironic" growing of mustaches, and people can actually grow one without being bothered?
