 So the other day i was reading this news magazine and i was reading an article about air pollution in china and what i read was pretty worrisome. the air quality level in bejing was something like 17 times the maximum level of acceptable air polltuion levels. way to go china. you are killing the enviroment.

Remember when we had our industrial revolution? Well that's the phase that China has just started progressing through. They've got, by our own example, around another thirty years of this before they start trying to change for the improvement of the environment and not just their nation. But when we had ours, the U.S. only had a fraction of the number of the people in China today... So I guess we all just have to hope they realize and correct their mistakes before we did.

China does not use any scrubbers on their power plants. That's the issue. If any of you are familiar with the London fog events. That shit is deadly, definitely a chance to die in an episode like similar to what London experienced.

if we're talking population/pollution

then whatever they're huge. I don't think because China sucks that the western world gets to masturbate, we still need to shape up to the max. Even Greenpeace recognizes that because of the nature of China's growth it's impossible for them to lower greenhouse gas emissions for some time.

except we haven't corrected our mistakes...

if you go by "oil consumption per capita" the US consumes WAY more than anyone else.

so people really shouldn't talk shit on china and india because they basically consume nothing in comparison to the united states.

China is an example of the worst possible society


The corrupt government works the population and does not educate them. They maintain relatively high global power by producing an immense amount of goods. Also, simply by having such a high population.

The quality of life for citizens is extremely low (hence the high suicide rates). Chinese society prioritizes  production over all else.

Chinese society is extremely sexist, and opportunities for the lower class are non-existent.

On top of all that they are polluting a shitton.
